Aesthetic Perfection Rework ‘Blood Spills Not Far From The Wound’; Includes Unreleased B-Side

Originally released in 2007, under the one-record moniker “Necessary Response”, Daniel Graves has reworked ‘Blood Spills Not Far From The Wound’ in line with his original vision.

The songs of ‘Blood Spills Not Far From The Wound’ were originally intended for release on the debut Aesthetic Perfection album ‘Close To Human’ but their less aggressive nature, coupled with label advice, saw them put out under the name Necessary Response, a project that existed for that one record alone. After nearly a decade, Graves chose to resurrect the long defunct outfit for a one-off concert in his Los Angeles hometown.

In preparation, each song was deconstructed and rebuilt, track by track using the original recordings. Every effort was taken to stay true to the original versions while improving the sonic quality.

Since then Graves has opted to take the record back and release it on his own terms as Aesthetic Perfection, as originally intended. Revived with newly recorded vocals, and new artwork, this new version of ‘Blood Spills Not Far From The Wound’ has been remixed, re-mastered, and is led by the unreleased B-Side “Never Enough”, available now on Bandcamp.
