Following their success of their two debut singles, and only forming in 20o9, British metallers Akarusa Yami have recently released their eagerly awaited debut album Ouroboros.

It is obvious why these Nottingham guys are doing so well!
The album kicks off great with track ‘Millennium Is My Salvation’ straight into pure aggression with Tom Brumpton’s vocals aswell as showing his softer clean vocals, with impressive heavy Guitaring from T.K and Damian Lee, great bass lines from Kake Bennett aswell as fast and furious drumming from Adam Jones with Less Dowling on Keyboards making this a really great album!

With 6 tracks in total the album did seem to finish soon, which shows how much I was enjoying it with track 4 ‘Change Reflects’ being a beautiful short track using only acoustic guitars which gave the album something different before track 5. Third Eye, Wide Open’ bring back the pure aggression!

It is no surprise this band are doing well with great air play throughout UK aswell as Holland and Switzerland and receiving some great reviews.

The album was mastered by world-renowned engineer Tim Turan (Emperor, Plan B), and seems to be appealing to many metal genre lovers!

With high expectations on this release I think the fans will be happy with ‘Ouroboros’!
