Welcome to the most Glam Rock and Roll night of the year!
Tonight in London is the final night of the Wednesday 13 UK tour with Michael Monroe and Crash Diet.
The Electric Ballroom in Camden is invaded by the entire London Glam scene. When I arrive I only manage to catch the last couple of songs of the King of Glam Michael Monroe who pushes his stage time but for the great benefit of the crowd. “If you want one more song then make some noise” he tells.
Of course the crowd is dying to hear more of former Hanoi Rocks legendary frontman. During the encore songs he ends up crowd surfing! At 50 year old, this man is in better and younger shape than most current bands!
Helped by Sami Yaffa on bass, Steve Conte on guitars and Karl Rockfist on drums, Michael Monroe’s band has welcomed Sweden s most popular guitarist Dregen. Truth to be told, if you re into Rock Music you don t need a further presentation. If not, he is best known as the guitarist of Backyard Babies. This band has it all!
Fan of campy horror movie parodies and mildly macabre TV shows, he named
himself after Wednesday of The Addams Family and the address, 1313 Mockingbird Lane, of The Munsters.
The Hard Rock / Punk / Gothic band has a new album out titled “Calling All Corpses”,the fourth studio album.
The set kicks off with the self titled lastest album “Calling All Corpses”,follows with “I Walked With A Zombie”,”Scream Baby Scream”,”Homesweet Homicide”.The audience is headbanging, dancing, singing, there is a guy in front of me always bouncing!
The show is very well delivered, alot of energy and great unity on stage. As well as getting a few props like a skull on a stick to sing with, Wednesday wears his trademark Hats. “Bad Things” and “Something Wicked” closes this very visual show, and I can t help but feeling it’s way too soon!
