Servers were formed by former GU Medicine frontman Lee Storrar. As GU Medicine, Lee released three critically acclaimed albums, had features in Kerrang!, Classic Rock and Rock Sound (amongst others); toured the UK with The Wildhearts, Skid Row, My Ruin, Viking Skull, appeared at Sonisphere and Hard Rock Hell festivals and recorded a BBC Radio One Rock Show session at Maida Vale.
Established in 1999, as well as releasing the GU Medicine catalogue, Undergroove has released music for esteemed artists such as Exit_International, Black Spiders, The Ghost Of A Thousand, Minus The Bear, Aereogramme, *shels, Sorry & The Sinatras, Charger, Twin Zero, My Ruin, Lazarus Blackstar, Co-Exist and many more.
New music video ‘Claustrophobia‘ can be seen here:
The video was directed by Jagermeister Music’s official photographer Mark Latham and is debuted ahead of their upcoming EP which is due for release via Undergroove Records on September 15th.
SERVERS frontman LEE STORRAR commented on the video:
“The song for the video, Claustrophobia, is about Crisis Creation, basically how people employ tactics designed to create or deepen confusion, fear, guilt or doubt. i.e. “you aren’t serving God the way he intended.” For the video location we discovered this big derelict house and thought it was perfect. What we found there was disturbing. The video features a bunch of our fans, our “servers”. They signed up to our website, were allocated their server number and from there were invited to be included in the video, which was something we’ve been keen on right from the start, as we want people to feel involved and part of the band.”
SERVERS forthcoming 4 track EP features a charity cover, Lovestruck (by Madness), which has been recorded in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust and appeared on the recent Madness Charity Tribute Album ‘Specialized 3 – Mad Not Cancer’ as part of the Specialized project.
