Death metal ceremony at the Colchester Arts Centre Church

Only two weeks after a fantastic sold out gig with Amon Amarth, the Colchester Arts Centre is offering a new death metal ceremony at their old church on Thursday 5th of February. Be prepared to welcome warmly UK death metal legends Desecration who are finally back on tour in the United Kingdom!

DesecrationThis cult Welsh band gained instant notoriety in 1995 upon the release of their infamous first album “Gore and Perversion” which was banned by the authorities due to its explicit cover artwork and lyrics. All the master tapes got destroyed by the local police and the members were arrested.

As a consequence, this controversial event helped them to spread their name in the whole extreme metal scene. After eight albums and more than twenty years of career, Desecration is going to give a lesson of gory death metal. Repulsive and disturbing as it should be!

They will be mainly supported by The King is Blind, the new band of Paul Ryan (ex guitarist of Cradle of Filth from 1991 to 1994). Formed in 2013, this Colcestrian trio mixes perfectly death and doom metal styles and have just come back from their first overseas show in Zurich, Switzerland. Their first EP “The Deficiencies of Man” is available through Mordgrimm Records.
They will be preceded by Obscene Entity, a young English death metal act who have released one self-produced EP in 2012.

Expect pure death metal feast at the altar.
