They also have news on new material. Vocalist/guitarist Ross King reveals, “We will shortly be entering the studio to record a single entitled “Solace”, to be released prior to our slot at Bloodstock this year, along with a brand new T-shirt design. This will be available exclusively from our Bandcamp page, and will be at a ‘Pay what you like’ basis.” Artwork for both the single and T-shirt will be provided once again by the talented Carl Ellis, who created the stunning visual of the band’s début self-titled EP.

As if that weren’t enough, the band also have a new album in the works! “It will be recorded in HVR Studios in Ipswich, run by Dan Biggin (Pentagram Chile, Criminal, Anihilated). “We have 8 tracks lined up, following a similar sound from our EP but stepped up to the next level. Release date is looking to be early 2016, so keep an eye out!

COUNTLESS SKIES burst onto the modern metal scene with their debut self-titled EP in late 2014. Blending progressive and darkly intense music influenced by their Scandinavian melodeth heroes, the EP began a flood of shows up and down the UK. After winning the Bedfordshire ‘Metal to the Masses’ competition, they have secured a slot on the New Blood stage at the UK’s No1 independent metal festival, Bloodstock Open Air 2015. Building upon their rapid momentum, they continue their conquest of the UK and will release their début full-length in the first quarter of 2016. With a tremendous start, the future looks bright for Countless Skies.
