British/Polish metallers Bad Solution are enjoying rave reviews and fan praise after the release of their debut EP on July 4th.
Entitled “Self Destruct”, the four tracker also comes with the news of lead singer Alex Willox’s struggles with alcohol and drug abuse, which he says had been “limiting me not just in music but in my personal life”.
Now clean and sober for 12 weeks, the vocalist says he feels “reborn”, and despite the long-road ahead, is making progress both as an artist and as a person.
The EP heavily draws on these dark themes, being written during rough patches while Willox said he was “at war” with himself during the process.
Such moods can be felt most prominently on tracks such as “Self Destruct” and “Nothing (You Don’t Know Me)”.
Musically, old school and new school fans are catered for in Bad Solution’s varied style; with classic metal influences such as Metallica and Iron Maiden shining through along with modern grooves suited to fans of Papa Roach and Avenged Sevenfold.
Live, their anthemic choruses make this five piece stand out, and with dates across the UK coming up, be sure to check out the full list of gigs below.
