Static Age In The UK – The Misfits Are Coming To London

Yes, you read that right – horror-punk legends The Misfits are coming to London town this Saturday, and they’re playing Static Age.

With original bassist Jerry Only at the helm, the band have teamed up with local promoters Old Empire to announce this special show at the Islington Academy as part of their current European tour. Not only will this be the first time that Londoners will see The Misfits in the capital, the gig will see debut album Static Age played in all of its entirety.

Despite having been recorded back in 1978, Static Age only saw four of its songs released at the time up until 1997. Thus, the upcoming show marks the play of all that album’s songs together, as they were meant to be heard.

Support comes from Midlands-based punk rockers JD and The FDCs, as well as London goth punks Creeper, who will debut tracks from their upcoming EP ‘The Callous Heart’.

To help mark the occasion, there’ll be a FREE aftershow party at local pub The Three Johns (just a two minute walk from the venue) right after the gig, featuring drink deals and DJ sets from KERRANG!, Mel Clarke, Creeper and many more.

Get ready for a Ghoul’s Night Out… The Misfits are comin’ to town!
