Black Bow Records is proud to announce that they have signed Belfast sludge/fuzz rockers Slomatics. The band will be releasing a new full length album in Spring of 2016. In advance of the new album’s release, the label has decided to do a digital re-issue of the band’s first two albums Flooding the Weir and Kalceanna. These digital re-issues will be released via iTunes, Spotify, Bandcamp and all other major digital outlets.
The band’s second album Kalceanna shows the band take the elements in their debut album to an entirely new level. Black Bow label head Jon Davis had the following to say about the album:
“Kalceanna continued the band’s dominance over the underground heavy music scene in the UK. Wider sonically than Flooding The Weir and their attention to detail in pedal selection is there for all to see. Great album!”
Kalceanna and Flooding the Weir will be available on November 20th 2015.
Kalceanna was originally released in 2007.
Praise for Kalceanna:
“Three genius reasons to dig Slomatics: they are a power trio, they belch out enormous stinking nuclear sludge riffs, and they have a drummer that sings. Beside a dirty girlfriend with full lips and dark eyes and a shiny black BMX, what more could a young lad ask for?”-The Sleeping Shaman
“A great release that looks and sounds fucking awesome.”-Collective Zine
