BARCELONA’S MOONLOOP DISCLOSES DETAILS ON ‘DEVOCEAN’!
Often tagged as a non mimicking but challenging combination of OPETH‘s catchy arrangements and musical sensibilities and GOJIRA / DEATH heavy, menacing yet melodic powerful guitar grooves and bashing drums, Spanish Progressive Death Metal band MOONLOOP are back with a new album entitled “Devocean” set to be released in March 2017 .
The Metal Observer cynically illustrated : “Do you long for the time Chuck Schuldiner was still alive and Mikael Akerfeldt still had balls ? If the answer is “yes” on both counts ( which, y’know, it should be), then Barcelona’s MOONLOOP will put a big fat smile on your ugly mug”
The new album “Devocean” has been finalized. It genuinely displays the band’s best work to date. The lyrics are inspired by nature, geology, oceans, ecology, and also personal experiences.
The band comments: “Devocean is a journey into the depths of oneself, in which personal experiences are linked to the fascination for the marine universe and the origin of life in the oceans. A cry of hope that unifies music and emotions to lead the listener to the voice of his own conscience.”
