Review:

Coming from Modena, Italy, this band has been together since September 2016 and have just put out their debut album of female-fronted alternative rock and it is really impressive.  The group set up a crowdfund for Empty Rooms and doubled their funding target in a mere month… pretty cool.

This is one catchy album that will get you moving and after a few listens, singing along with every song since the vocals are a definite standout throughout their debut. I have a hard time with a lot of female vocalists nowadays, it seems that most are wispy and wimpy, or too screamy, but Linda Battilani’s vocals are strong and assured and so full of emotion that I fell in love with them. Let me make this clear, while the vocals are the star of this, the band are no slouches either! They play with such vigor and you can tell that they are having a great time which makes this a definite pleasure to listen to.

You get a bit of chugging guitars that add a bit of hard rock in places, great synth playing, just the right thickness of bass, and the precision drumming make for an experience that just gets better every time I listen to the album. The songs are well written, and the production is perfect, not crowded or harsh, just a perfect sound that lets the band shine. I really don’t have a song that stands out, since every song is one that I would recommend and play again, kind of like they made everything a potential single.

If you have the chance to see this band live, run and get those tickets! This is a band that I would love to see, but they may not get to my area and I’m jealous of those that can see them. Grab a copy of this amazing album, clear some space in your house and dance to the blistering sounds that they have created.
