Review:

Hailing from Norway, this band has put out a demo in 1997, but soon the band was put on hiatus for several years. Tusmorke returned in 2009 with a full electric lineup and the debut album Underjordisk Tusmorke appeared three years later.

Well, I can really say that if you are a fan of Jethro Tull and want to hear them do an album in Norwegian, this is the album for you. The psychedelic sounds mixed with a freak out here and there, plus some quiet spots make for an interesting collection of sounds. The last song “Sankt Sebastians Alter,” is almost 24 minutes long and was composed in commemoration of the 666th anniversary of the Black Death in Norway. This song is a prog rock/psychedelic bounty with all kinds of changes, sounds and is an epic unto itself.

Maybe not something that you will throw on a lot, or at a party, but a very interesting listen that shows the talent that this band has. This is an album that will make you scratch your head over, but then you will get into the groove of the strangeness of it all and enjoy it.
