Living Dead Girl met each other through an ex-girlfriend and began playing in a band together, eventually realizing that they shared a very specific set of influences, and are a dark electronic pop duo based in London. Since launching last year, they have independently released two singles.

As much as I love electronic music and female vocals, the wispy vocals kind of left me cold and uninterested, I was trying to concentrate on them, but it just became background sound to me. What we have here are three songs, plus two remixes of “Simulation,” and nothing stuck with me after listening to it.

The remixes take the song and add some beats and do a few different things, but really don’t seem to make the song have more oomph to it.
The music is pretty good electronica, but I just can’t get past the weak vocals, even though that seems to be the thing for a lot of female vocalists. I would prefer some more energy and lung power, but I may be in the minority there. Jessica has a nice voice, but it just never grabs my attention at all.

If you want something to put on if you are having people over for drinks or just want something mellow for background noise, this is your thing, but if you want something a bit thicker and with energy, skip.
