Review:

This is the debut solo album of Timo Kaukolampi, frontman of Finnish band K-X-P. The resulting album is one long track broken up into five titles. The album was recorded primarily in Helsinki with some parts in Berlin and was distilled down from between 50-70 “jams” that Kaukolampi had been working on over the years.

Five long “songs” since it was meant to be one long track, and the only one that really held my attention was “Bottomless Well Of The Forgotten Secrets” because it actually had a fairly quick pace to it and was quite peppy considering the slow and drawn out nature of the rest of the songs. I found that this would be a great album for those wanting something to chill out with, or to use it to fall asleep because it sure helped me. The album also could be used as a soundtrack to a dark movie.

A decent collection of music that while laid out and played well, just seems to drift past me and never take hold. Grab some Tylenol PM and throw this one on for a good, solid sleep and call me in the morning.
