Review:

This is the new 4 song EP from these Scottish rockers that is a further exploration of their British take on the Americana sound. Emerging in late 2014, Cold Years have released two studio EPs to date; Mile Marker (2015) and Death Chasers (2016).

Four new songs that showcase the infectious and kick-ass sound of this talented band and the clear production that stands out. The songs are hard, heavy and will rip you a new one, so get up and shake it before you lose it kid! This is rock, a modern take, but rock that will shake the foundations and make you forget your problems. “Seasons” starts off slow and mellow, but then just as you think that it’s all that there is to it…BAM…the song hits hard, just in time for the end. “Miss You To Death” is catchy and will get you up and dancing and shouting along with the band, classic track. “What I Lost” is another thrilling blast of rock that stands head and shoulders above so much of the crap out there. “Final Call” ends things off with a similar sound and set up as the first track, but is no clone, it’s a terrific song.

With tight playing, inspired lyrics and great, throaty singing, this is the kind of stuff that rock radio should be playing. Since they have no clue what they are doing, go out and buy this and get your friends turned on to them, they will love you for it.
