Possessor Sign To APF Records – New Album Due In 2019

October 30, 2018News

South London, horror obsessed – sludge thrashers, Possessor have signed a brand new record deal with APF Records.

Preparations for their fourth full-length album are well underway.

UK, Salford-based, independent label APF – who’s roster also includes, Ba’al, Barbarian Hermit, Battalions, Blind Haze, BongCauldron, Desert Storm, Diesel King, Mastiff, Nomad, Pist, RedEye Revival, The Hyena Kill, The Wizards Of Delight, Trevor’s Head, Tronald and Under – pride themselves on specialising in heavy metal, hard rock and their subgenres: stoner, sludge, doom, thrash, post-metal.

They recently put out the following statement:

“Delighted to announce that we will be releasing the bloodthirsty stoner thrash trio’s new album during the Spring of 2019. High-octane. Super-fast. Horror-infused heavy metal dirt. From South London. Oh yes!”

Possessor‘s chief song writer, vocalist and guitar player, Graham Bywater says,

“It’s an honour to be a part of it. APF has always caught my attention when scrolling through social media – it seems from the very outset to be like a little family. The enthusiasm and camaraderie surrounding APF comes across first and foremost and you can tell they have a great time with what they do!.. Obviously that’s the most important thing.”

Of the new album, which is due out in 2019, Graham goes on to say it will have, “more of a vicious punk feel – Discharge, Germs, Accused etc.. four to the floor. Motörhead meets Gamma Ray. Unsane meets Church of Misery. Endless John Coltrane worship. It’s all going in the pot/pit.”
