I’ll admit with this album my feelings are mixed. There are moments that are brilliant death metal moments and are filled with excellent solos. Then there are moments that feel either overthought or unfinished. Take the track Psalm for example. In its opening, it’s chaotic and the guitar is overpowering the bass leaving it sounding more unfinished as a whole track but the breakdowns and verses are well constructed and put together. Everything is balanced and it comes together in those moments. However, it feels at times that they are trying to combine speed metal with death metal and while this works sometimes, it simply is not the case in this album.

Vocally I’m torn as well. The deeper screams and growls are perfect, they work well with the music and the timings, however, when we come to the higher more pig squeal-like screams I’m left not enjoying it as much. It takes away from the songs more than it adds to them as it’s too distracting.

Unfortunately, that’s about all I feel I can say on this album. There are highs and lows. If they stuck to the death metal and lower screams and growls I could see this album being incredibly well done. I will say that they do have some killer solos in this album that are actually the highlight of each track.
